So good to hear back from you. WE should stay in touch even thru regular email or here, whichever works best for you. I have quite a bit on your family of Erasmus Williams, brother to my Rebecca Thomas Williams Langridge. This is my father's side of my family. Rebecca married Richard Boon Langridge in Va. but yes, she did die in Lewiston, Missouri but Richard died in Colorado.
I was once in touch with Arlene Varnau and Erasmus is also her great grandfather. do you know her? I have alot of family info. from Arlene but you may have all that i have. I will keep searching the Akeman name too. I have not been to Bath Co. in Va. but my sister is going there to do some research in April. I do know that Phoebe Akeman( she is born in Penn) and Jared Williams got married on 9-14-1825 in Bath Co. Va. and i have names of their children and know some about each one. I have the obit for your Erasmus Williams from Bath Co. Jared Williams is born 9-17-1800 in Hot Springs, Va. I don't have an exact date of death for him tho. That would be nice to locate and where he and Phoebe are buried.
I am not sure what to send you but do let me know. I found Jared Williams and Phoebe in the 1870 census in Bath Co. Va. and he is 69 and she is 66 and their daughter, Mary Jane Williams is still at home with them and she is 38. Jared Williams is Jared W. (Francis) Williams. I actually think that Jared and Phoebe are buried in the Woodland Cem. in Bath Co. Va. but i am going to see if my sister can check this out when she visits there.
I have these children for Jared Williams and Phoebe Akeman:
1. JOhn A. Williams, born 8-23-1828 va,
2. Robert Williams, born 12-26-1826 (this could be Elisha B. Williams) (he is gone from the home in the 1860 Bath Co. Census)
3. Matilda Williams, born 7-6-1830 (alive in 1880 and i see her as Patsy Ann, also.)
4. Mary Jane Williams, born 10-18- 1832(or 1-10-1833) Bath co. Va and died 1915.
married James A. Keyser of Healing Springs, VA., b. 1829 and died before 1900. James married 2nd to Lucy Thompson. Married on 1-10-1883 Bath Co. Va.
5. James T. Williams born 8-22-1834 in Bath Co. and died 6-12-1910 in Lewiston, Missouri
married Rebecca A. Hively, b. 1841 Bath co. Va and she died 1936 in Lewiston, Mo.
children:
a. Frank Williams, born ?? and died 1939 and married Eva Waggoneer who died in 1948 and they have a daughter, Josephine Williams.
b. Charles Pugh Williams, born 1875 lewiston, Mo and died 1953 and was not married. Charles is buried in the Lewiston Cem. in Lewiston, Mo.
c. Laura Virginia Williams, born ?? and died 1953 and married Dr. Charles Hammet, who died in 1934 and they lived in Parsons. Kansas
d. Erasmus F. Williams born 1868 (this may be Frank above , not sure)
e. Eliza J. Williams born 1870
(sorry have the children sort of out of date sequence but all is correct)

6. Nelia Williams born c 1835 in VA.
married Jake Hoover of Healing Springs, VA.
7. Erasmus Williams (your family)
8. Rebecca Thomas Williams (My family)
9. Elizabeth (eliza J.) Williams, born 9-17-1843 Bath Co, Va.and died 2-7-1909 in Belington, WEst Va.
married John Henry Mustoe on 1-27-1870 in Bath Co. VA., born 2-9-1847 in Va and died 1918 in Southwick, Idaho and buried in Lewiston, Idaho.
Do you know of Cornelius Brinkley Williams, who is the son of your Erasmus Williams and his first wife? I only know that in 1922 he lived in Richmond, Virginia.
I have the copy of the original marraige bond for Phoebe Akeman and Jared Williams and George Akeman has signed this with Jared. They paid $150.00 on SEptember 14, 1825 to secure the marraige. So who is George?
Do be in touch and let me know what i can share with you. Marilyn
