Dr. Whitehead handled many adoption to/for Coast Guard personel and some local adoption. My mother says that there were Batchelors living in Juneau, but know nothing more. Coast Guard like Navy adoption, almost take an act God to find out information about. But there may be a birth record and may be away to get a record through the Bureau of Vital Statistics in Juneau. You may have to try court records for adoptions. Dr. Whitehead died years ago and St. Anns Hospital is now a rest home.
