Dear Dawn, I read your entries some time ago while I was researching another topic. this last weekend I went to Dawson and found the new memorial to the Princess Sophia victims. I remembered your grandfather's name and looked for it on the huge bronze plaque that has hundreds of names. The only one close was a "P. Vant" I assume that they got the spelling wrong. In any event it was a really nice exhibit. Good Luck on your search. Marlene
