Hi again Della,
You're welcome, it was no problem for me. You might be interested in knowing that Dawn Samson's grandfather that went down on the Sophia also worked aboard the Casca so he probably knew your relative. No the book that I mentioned is not in print anymore but I have seen a few copies for sale on Amazon.com in their Zshops section. They are quite pricey though. The book has about 12 pages dedicated to the wreck of the Sophia. The rest of the book is about other shipwrecks, mysterious disappearances of ships and ships that have encountered many mishaps during their lives. It makes for an interesting read if you are into that kind of thing (I am). A library might have a copy but it may not be that likely because the book is quite old and very few copies were ever published of it. Anyway, it was nice to be able to help a fellow Sophia descendant. I know from first-hand knowledge how frustrating it can be to find out anything related to this disaster.
