I may well be spelling the name wrong as I am doing it off the top of my head. That's a hard one to get right. ;-)

I have no doubt there are a lot of Kashevroffs in your area as my husband's grandmother had 11 or 12 kids and half of them, at least, were Kashevroffs. And now they've all grown up and had kids as well. I believe most of the Kashevroff kids are still living and most in Alaska. Actually though, as interested as I am in Kashevroffs, I'm more interested in the Fox side of the family (grandmother was married twice) because that's the line my husband follows. However, if you run across a gedcom on Kashevroffs, I'd be interested in seeing that!

The story of the evacuation is very interesting and I've printed out the links you sent. Thanks so much! I would like to look into getting a video.
