My great grandfather, William Langen (Langon, Langan) was in Sitka, Alaska in the 1880 census. He was 66, a widower, a tailor. He arrived in Boston from Ireland in 1840. I don't know if he was naturalized or not. He brought his daughters to San Francisco and married them off in the 1860s, then went to Sitka where he had a tailor shop for some years. He may have returned to S.F. in the late 1890s. Are there records in Sitka where I might find our something about hin?
