Mr. Leahy, Would it be possible to help me? It sounds as if you may have information that might. My father and his brother went to the Aleutians during WW2 (Adak and Attu) to build barracks in the form of quanset huts for the military. I have a paper that I assume was his travel orders. It has 'Alaskan Department' at the top, and underneath of that it says 'Alaska Travel Control' It is a permit to enter, travel in and depart Zone "C" of Alaska. It has a Military Police stamp and an APO #. My father's name was Frank Thompson and his brother was Eugene. The time frame was 1944-1945. Do you have any information about this? If so, I would really appreciate hearing from you. Thanks for your time, Judy (Thompson) Morgan, judym43@qnet.com
