The information about the Coast Guard Aviation Detachment at Tamgass Harbor on Annette Island is correct. It was formerly a US Army landing field during WWII. The Coast Guard also operated an aviation detachment at the Kodiak Naval Air Station during the time period of your interest. The Coast Guard has never operated an aviation detachment in Juneau.
If you are looking for a specific person, I may be able to help you.
