Hi,
Researching in Alaska is more difficult because they have very restrictive laws about releasing vital records. They won't release a death certificate until 50 years after the death and then only to family members and their legal representatives. For additional info go to hss.state.ak.us/dph/bvs/death/default.htm .

I could do more searching if you knew where in Alaska but it looks like you don't know where he died.

Does Teller County have a Genealogical Society? Do a Google search for Teller County Colorado Genealogical Society. They might have more information about him. Successful Searching!
