72714. Betty Ann Fritz, 80, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, June 26, 2006, in Bella Vista, following a long battle with Alzheimer?s disease. She was born Aug. 26, 1925, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Frank Black and Lila Black.
She lived in Anchorage, Alaska, from 1976 to 1985. She was employed with Alyeska Pipeline Service Co. and Sohio Petroleum for 34 years combined. Her work involved computers and teaching their associated systems. She received a bachelor?s degree in mathematics from Oklahoma City University.
She and her husband, Martin Fritz, retired to Bella Vista. She was a member of the Bella Vista Church of Christ. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling, reading and working crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Fritz.
Survivors Include a son and daughter-in-law, Marc Houser and Tamara Houser of Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Hiliker and Randy Hiliker of Salem, Ore.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in Bella Vista. Burial will be in Oklahoma City, Okla. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Alzheimer?s Association.
