DARBY, Gene Maddolene/Marylin E./Mickey
Posted by: Liz Freeman (ID *****2827) Date: May 22, 2010 at 15:42:44
  of 2383

I am endeavoring to trace the above named person.

Gene Maddelene Darby is found on the 1920 census in the home of her parents, Curits Eugene Darby and Edith M. (Galbraith) Darby on the MO Census. Gene Madeline, according to the 1920 census, was born in August 1919 in Oklahoma. Curtis and Edith divorce. She is affectionately called Mickey by the Darby family.

At some point Edith M. (Galbraith) Darby marries Chester D. 'Pat' Henderson. The family is found on the 1930 Franklin Co., OH census. The daughter's name is shown as Marylin E. Darby This is the last record found of the Darby girl.

Chester D. Henderson retires from his checmical salesman job in late 1953/early 1954. Chester, Edith, and Edith's mother (Amy Bell Galbraith) move to Bexar Co., TX.

Chester D. Henderson, died in 11-1954 in San Antonino, TX. His mother-in-law (Amy Galbraith)died 10-13-1976 in Bexar, TX. Edith Mae Henderson died 9-20-1984 in Bexar,TX. All three are buried in Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas, TX. None of the obituaries mention the daughter Gene Maddelene/Marylin E./ Mickey Darby.

The biological father of Maddelene dies in 1-1937 in California. No mention is made of the daugher in his obit.

I am endeavoring to determine what became of Gene Maddelene/Marylin E./ Mickey Darby/Henderson.

My thinking is she may have been estranged from her mother/stepfather and that she married and moved away from OH.

Any information appreciated.
