Hello, There is a Jim Berry, born about 1885 pictured in a photo at the Anchorage Museum (online) that is of "newsies" in Skagway Alaska in 1898. Is that your James Berry? Our Jim Berry went to Valdez in 1902.
Other Berry's here were Caleb from Santa Rosa California, Edward who was a White Pass train engineer, Mary and Otis from Michigan who had a stationery store, Richard who was a barber born in Mississippi who came from Riverside California here. i have been wondering who Jim's parents were or was he an orphan?
