The American Pomeroy Historic Genealogical Association (APHGA) is researching Pomeroys and collateral lines who have lived in Alaska.
We have:
US Census, military records, SSDI etc through Ancestry.com.
ALASKA GAZETEER 1901,1902,1903,1905-06,1907-08,1911-12,1915-16, and 1923-24;
City Directories for:
ANCHORAGE 1947, 1948, 1960 to 1969-70, 1976-77, 1979-1984.
JUNEAU 1914-1915, 1961, 1963, 1967, 1969, 1971, 1973, 1975, 1976, 1978-79, 1981, 1984.
KETCHICAN 1964, 1968, 1970, 1972, 1974, 1976, 1978, 1980, 1986.
FAIRBANKS 1951, 1959, 1960, 1962-1966, 1968-1974, 1976-77, 1978, 1979, 1981-1983, 1986, 1987.
We have a few items we've found online: some news articles, obituaries, etc. If you have a Pomeroy in your family tree, ideas for further Alaska research resources, or could do look-ups for us, we'd love to hear from you!
