I am looking for information on my great-great-grandfather, George G. Lakin. He was born in Indiana in May of 1857. His last known location was in Dyea, Alaska on March 8, 1900. He is listed in the 1900 US Census as a logger. I have not been able to locate him anywhere after that. His brother, Edgar (aka Eddie), his mother Hannah, and wife Anna with their children all lived in Pierce Co., Orting, WA. However, Anna and the children were found in the June 1900 Lancaster Co., Nebraska US Census. Anna's family lived there. She listed herself as single. Could George have died shortly after the March 8, 1900 census? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
