Michael William "Willy" Dinneen Alaska ca 1895-1930

We have a Michael William "Willy" Dinneen who lived in Escanaba, Michigan in the 1890's. He last appeared in the 1893 city directory. The next mention of him I have found is from his father John Dinneen's obituary from 1919, which said that Willy was in Alaska at that time.
I do not know when he went to Alaska, nor how long he remained there. I don't know if he raised a family there, but if so then I am very interested in meeting descendants. Willy's father John was a Civil War sailor, so it's possible that Willy worked on the seas too.
