If you haven't done the 1910 and 1920 census, you might start there. The National Archives here in Anchorage, Alaska, has a set of censuses that were taken by the Bureau of Indian Affairs at various time periods -- I don't know what the holdings are regarding Nome but I've obtained some interesting information off the Sitka censuses that I've looked at. I don't think they are loaned out but if you are in Alaska, and get to Anchorage, that would be a place to go. Also, you may contact the Nome Public Library. If your great-grandmother was born in Nome, the local village Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) corporation or the regional ANCSA corporation might be able to help you out -- the library could give you the address. Some of the ANCSA corporations have good records. Nome should have a historical society that might also be a place to start.

Good luck.
