Since posting my message last evening I found some additional information. It would seem that the original history that I posted may not be correct. It seems as follows.
My Grandfather Ivan Ereceg (called Jack in New Zealand) left Rascane Yugoslavia in 1910 with his brother Michael, there may also have been a brother Tony, we are not sure. They left Yugoslavia because they were going to be posted into the Austrian Army. I understand they left via Italy first of all went to Australia and then onto New Zealand. At some stage the brother Michael left New Zealand and went to America, he first of all went to Calafornia and then he went to Alaska. He seems he was involved in Mining and had an important role to play with Perma Frost in Alaska. They had a sister Nadia (we think that was her name and she remained in Rascane. We also understand that my Grandfather and his family had a vineyard in Rascane. I do hope somebody can help me put this together and find some of our family Thank You
