Here's W. C. Horsford's obit and I will be scanning some newspaper articles and sending them to you in the next few days.

From Anchorage Daily Times, Saturday, Dec. 7, 1968, page 2

Tuesday Services For W. C. Hornsford

Funeral services for William C. Horsford, 43, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Edward V. Wright of First Presbyterian Church will officiate.

Horsford was supervisor for the magistrate court program in Anchorage. He had lived here three years. Born in St. Louis, Mo., he was a member of the Missouri Bar Association.

Visitation for him will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Graveside services will be conducted by Capt. James G. Lee Post No. 1685 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars at Anchorage Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Henry G. Bryant, A1C Kenneth Phillips, Judge Virgil Vochoska, William Green, Robert Reynolds and George Dickson.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Salvation Army.

Horsford is survived by his wife, Dorothy, at the family home at 1831 Bunker St.; daughter, Marie Catherine, 14, and son, William Jr., 16, both of St. Louis; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Horsrod of St. Louis, and an aunt, Mrs. Lucille Buehler of St. Louis.
