Death Records and Gold Mining Claims late 1880
Posted by: Yvonne Hawley (ID *****8429) Date: August 25, 2004 at 21:14:21

I have a GGGGrandfather Henry ROBERTS that left California for the gold fields of Alaska in the late 1880s and he never returned. Family stories state he died in Alaska. I am hoping someone can tell me where I might look for a death record for the people that died during this time. Also where I can find gold mining claims. Just in case he filed a claim. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Yvonne Hawley
