Thank you so much for the info. All of the little tidbits really help and make the photos so much more fun and interesting.

Here is another picture of a little girl. She is a toddler with dark hair. On the back of the photo is written "Crewman's child".

Wouldn't it be wonderful if her family recognized this little tot?! Actually I have two pictures side by side on the link here. In the picture on the right, There is a glimpse of a woman holding the little one's hand as she attempts to stand up for the picture, I imagine she is probably the little girl's mother. Again these photos taken 1930s and 1940s probably near Fairbanks, Alaska.

enjoy the photos and would love to hear more about the life of the miners in Alaska.
