I was also at this summer's FANHS conference in Los
Angeles, as was my mother, who is currently President of the National FANHS organization as well as the head of the FANHS Alaska Chapter: Thelma Buchholdt. Several years ago, my mother authored and published her now out-of-print book "Filipinos in Alaska: 1788 - 1958". If you are interested in buying a copy, there may be a copy or two available on the internet from Filipiniana bookstores. You can also check out the FANHS Alaska Chapter website at www.fanhs17.com. As for Pena Park in Anchorage, yes, it's there.

Good luck,

Titania
