JAMES AND MARGARET AITKEN GEORGETOWN PEI

I am trying to research my ancestry in PEI, but don't know my great grandparent's names. My grandparents are James and Margaret (Beaton) Aitken from Georgetown PEI. My father always said that his grandparents (although I do not know whether paternal or maternal) went by 'Ma and Deedle' and he never knew their real names, although he guessed John and Mary. My father, Gordon William Aitken, and his siblings (Margaret (Peggy) Anne, Leslie, Douglas, and Kenneth)grew up in a stone farmhouse in Georgetown Royalty, near the end of the Stone Arch road, not far from Brudenell. I know my grandmother has a sister named Annie (Beaton) MacDonald who lived in Montague. It has been years, but I was shown an old cemetery near Montague (Whim rd??) where my grandfather's ancestors who first came to PEI from Scotland are reportedly buried. Other than that, I do not have much information. If anyone out there can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Cyndi (Aitken) Sullivan
