William married Christina Hair on 28 June 1895 in the district of Kelvin, Glasgow. He worked as a law book-keeper and a house factor. The 1901 census shows the family still in Glasgow but we believe they moved to London shortly after this date and that William died in London sometime after 1914 and before 1932, when Christina died. William's parents were John Aitken and Margaret Oliphant and Christina's parents were George Hair and Margaret Balfour.
