According to Scotlandspeople website, Helen Aird was a French polisher and James King was a Rivet heater in Partick, Glasgow City. No ages are stated on their son's birth register entry so it is not possible to search for the birth of either one of them (their names are just too common).
If you have Helen's marriage certificate it may give her age. You could then look for her birth on Scotlandspeople, which would then give you her parents' names.
