Re: AINSWORTH GenForum Message 619—Pat Welch p 328 #34 Samuel Ainsworth 55, SC Farady 50 David 16 Telpha 14 William 11 ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~- Samuel Ainsworth appears to be my great-great-great grandfather. Samuel appears to have died in Mississippi as well as his wife variously shown as Farady, Feriba, Phoebe. I believe she was Phoebe Howell. Samuel’s son, David H. AINSWORTH appears in the Tax Rolls of Trinity County, TX in 1852 and 55. He came to Trinity County with Levin A. AINSWORTH with Levin’s son, Preston Potts AINSWORTH. Levin A would have been David H.’s uncle, being a brother to his father Samuel. The 1870 Trinity County Census, p337, shows David’s wife to be Nancy (Nancie?) Unknown. David and Nancy seem to have had the following children: Samuel, William, Marie, Marthie, and Columbus. In 1879, David H’s son Samuel is in Robertson County, TX where he marries Martha Jane ARCHER. (I have a copy of their marriage license.) Samuel and Martha Jane are buried in Hoxie Chapel Cemetery, Robertson Co., TX. One of the children of Samuel and Martha Jane was Thomas Aaron (sometimes Aaron Thomas) AINSWORTH who married Emma Green. ( I have a copy of their marriage license.) Thomas and Emma are my grandparents. I don’t have much specific on the other Ainsworth’s you mention, but I would be greatly interested in having any information on anyone connected with my line mentioned above. Chuck
