I can provide you with alot of information about Thomas, his wife Sarah Finch and their descendants. The story of him being a Choctaw chief named Philemahaya has been hotly debated among his descendants. Those who are descended from his daughter Ailsey Candiza Ainsworth Redmond say that Philemahaya was her husband's father not her father. There is documented evidence of two Ainsworths who were chiefs of the Choctaw tribe. One Ainsworth researcher who lives on the Choctaw reservation in OK has told me that there is no documentation in their records of a chief with that name ever belonging to the tribe. I would be happy to provide you with more information if you wish to contact me.
