Joab Ainsworth appears on the 1830 Butler Co AL census along with (Richard) Nathaniel and Caswell Ainsworth. He appears on the 1840 Butler Co census along with a Levin an and older Joseph Ainsworth. Nathaniel states in a deed dated 18 Aug 1838,Book H, Page 526, Washinton Co AL that Joab is his brother. The index to the Jasper Co MS deeds state that Nathaniels children sold his probated property to Allen Gunter in 1858.
