Many of the Ainsworths in Oklahoma were descendants of John Garrett Ainsworth and Martha Ann Brashears or John's brother, David Spencer Ainsworth and Nancy M. Pruitt. They were both sons of David A. Ainsworth and Elizabeth Garrett. The families were in Simpson Co., MS before moving to OK. What were the names of the ones that you found in Pontotoc Co.? I may have them in my database. The Ainsworths who were in Kaufman Co., TX were the family of William Walter Ainsworth and Mary Jane Webb. The names of their children suggest a strong connection to the MS, AR and OK Ainsworths but I have been unable to identify William Walter's parents.
