Lewis Akins Ancestry Uncovered

Hi all,
I want all of you Lewis Akin researchers to know that I DID IT!!!!!
BRAG, BRAG, YES, YES YES. I DID IT!
Lewis Akin was the son of John Akin of Chesterfield County,
Virginia!!!!!!!!
Some of you know of me. I was the kook who dared to challenge the
story that Lewis' wife, Elizabeth, was a daughter of Francis Mann.
Proved she was not!! Still, some would not concur with my research. But
thats ok. But the following record stands on it's own merits as to who
the father of Lewis was. Before I get to that, let me take the time to
explain how I got to this juncture.
Over the years I gathered many records on the Akins of Virginia.
Both original and abstracts from book sources. I noted Akins, borders,
streams, etc. Kept comparing and gathering more notes. For a long time I
thought that Lewis would be a son of William Akin Jr., and his wife,
Mary. But clues led to other clues.
There are two parts below. The second part is still in the works.
It should only be used as a research tool. But the evidence is strong to
support most of it.
The first part is the abstract record that proves Lewis as the son
of John Akin. He was a younger son of James Akin Jr., who died in
Henrico County Virginia about 1743.
The second part contains the ancestors for Lewis Akin.
I hope you enjoy this. Please remember who delivered this news to
you.
Godspeed.....Patrick
