A good deal of this lineage matches up with what I have posted on this fourum, especially the 2002 post (#151), but a more recent, 2005, listing can be found at http://genforum.genealogy.com/aikins/messages/204.html, although at this point it is also a bit dated.
Special note should be taken that the evidence appears to indicate that Israel had two sons named Ichabod, one by each of his wives, and your ancestor is from his second marriage to Sophia Baits/Bates -- I suspect there is a very interesting, or at least informative, story here, if we were to ever fully know the facts of it.
And speaking of interesting items in a similar vein, is it correct that Oliver Elsworth Aikins, for his second wife, married his first wife's 28 year old daughter by her first husband?
