George Family

I am tracing the George familu from South Carolina. It starts in Colleton county( which later became part of Dorchester county). Dennis George was the start of this family in America. His first child was Lewis, who was born around 1779. Also a James was born in 1789, who stated St. George( it was first known as George's turn about or George's Station) Another was Bud George and there were msny more children. Dennis owned a planation in Edgefield county.I also believe they owned land in the Orangeburg district. The best known in the family was Jesse George. Lewis had a son named Britton from a first marriage. He ran away( could be Aiken). I was also told that part of this George family went to Aiken. This is the main reason I am trying to make a connection to the Aiken area. I know there German Georges in the Orangeburg area and Indian Georges in South Carolina. This family first came from the British Isles. Think ther is a connection to Aiken? MARLENE Muzii mvmuzii@yahoo.com
