Hi Jodi, I do have 67 marker matches for my Browns, [DNA submitter for this test was one of my Brown cousins, mom's side of family] but only 4 different Browns show up on those results. There are zero matches for the 25 marker test, and plenty of 12 marker matches. Isn't that quite unusuall for there to be zero matching 25 marker matches with a 67 marker test? My Lock[e] cousin [dad's side of family] took a 67 marker test about 12 years ago, and there are plenty of 25 marker test result matches, 5 matches of 67 markers and over a hundred matches of 12 marker.
I do have Coffey [12 marker matches] with my Browns, but, they are probably [& I don't know for sure, because I haven't checked on this specifically] more closely locatedto/in NE Georgia, [where my mom's Browns are from] than in Burke/Catawba Co., NC. area [where my dad's relatives are from]. Since I haven't checked on the Coffey locations, it's certinally possible they hail from the Burke/Catawbe Co., NC area. If I recall though, the [Coffey] DNA submitter who 12 marker matched to my Browns didn't publically give his [or any] earliest known Coffey male ancestor or other information, other than his own name unfortunately.
I would like to see some 25 marker matches for my Browns, [mom's side of family] but will just have to wait for her Family Finder + mtDNA FTDNA test results to be released in about one month from now. I should know a lot more then.
On my Spencer/dad's side, my Family Finder + Y-DNA67 test [12 marker first] matches are due to first be released on the 15th of this month. I should know a lot more of his Spencer side then.
