My Mother always said that her GF, W G Reamer (walter grayson) received money from the government because he was 1/8 indian. She thought Mohawk. Both him & his wife Virginia F Pound where born in Page Co VA in 1848. His parent where John W. Reamer & Eleanor Sanford Grayson. The family moved in 1874 to TX & 1875 to KS. W G died in 1931 in Mannford, OK Virginia died in 1911 in Vinita, OK. I have been unable to find W G's grandparents. Virginia's parent were James J Pound & Mary E. Menefee. Does anyone know where the information would be kept of a government payment? Would they have information on his genealogy ( to prove )? bette
