Hi Otis,

I was told that the Eastern Band Becks descended from Jacob. In general I have a few DNA matches who have Beck in their family. Jacob was the neighbor of my Piercy and Jacob and Stephen Piercy are on the tory list together. Stephen Piercy and Jacob Beck were immediate neighbors in Burke per court records since you already know all the Deeds were taken out of Burke Courthouse. I don't know if Stephen is my direct line Piercy, cousin, uncle etc.. My Piercy was born to a single mother and got his Piercy name from his mother. My Piercy are living around some of the Becks. You can ask this descendant of Jeffery if he knows anything about Jacob. I have never researched Jacob only that the Becks are our neighbors. We have close DNA matches to people from Burke but we cant come up with any surnames we share even though I know some of their ancestors and they know who ours are. I dont know where the Becks came from other than they were German but a lot of people living on the border of Wilkes and Caldwell/Burke came out of Abermarle VA having ties to General Joseph Martin and or the Benge family. Both Martin and Benge were from Abermarle.
