First of all,

All the land belonged to the Native American.

Secondly, in the 1600's the Shawnee helped rebuild the Cherokee at a place now called Winchester VA.

Winchester VA was totally destroyed during the Civil War.
All records were destroyed, by Lincoln's troops ( 72 times)

There use to be a site of Shawnee names.I had the list. But AOL destroyed my information.

About 1812-13 there was a massive earthquake and Tecumseth 's people were destroyed outside of the then Fort Wayne.

Please do not give up your hunt.Keep searching. Somebpdy knows.
