Charles Dailey, Native American Ancestor?

There is an oral history in my family that I would like to find out if there is any truth to: It states, in reference to Charles Daily, that the generation of the children are believed to be 1/8th "Indian" with a grandfather marrying a "Native American" in Missouri so the family lived there between 1854 and 1890.

I have seen the last name spelled Dailey, Daily and Daly.

Charles was born circa 1847, and died circa 1892. I believe that he was the son of John Daily and had a son named Lee/Leemore.

I would appreciate any feedback or clues. Thanks!
