I did not know there was any such thing.The way I understand it is,if your ancestor did not sign up as a tribal member during the enrollment era, then they became a natural born citizen of the USA by default.
And if your ancestor did not sign up during that time, then present day unrolled Indians are out of luck if they want to become a LEGAL MEMBER of a tribe.
Fold3 does have the enrollment applications. I must say I am shocked at the 'white' people who became enrolled members. One I know of was a man who was full white, but married a lady who was 1/4 Choctaw by blood.The whole family became enrolled...and descendant today have cards, and are entiltled to all the perks....:-)
