I was hoping that someone with a bit more knowledge about this might pipe in, but...
here's what I know about 'kille' or 'kill' on the end of names in Northeast:it has something to do with a Dutch dialect.Don't know what it means, but you find it in names back there, like Schuylkill, East Fishkill, etc. (the only reason I know anything about it was that I thought East Fishkill was a strange name for a town - a 'local' explained it to me).
I don't know if SHE was American Indian or not, but the name is probably not.Given the time and the populations that were moving around at that time (pre-Revolution...), I'd be inclined to check the Dutch and German, first.
