Anton Chico is in NE NM and that area was settled in the early 1800s by Don Salvador Tapia and Hispanic colonists.It is more likely that your ancestors were Hispanic and very possible they could be descended from Settlers who came into NM as early as the late 1500s.There were no Indian reservations in that part of NM.I would suggest you contact the NM Genealogy Society and see what records they might have for Anton Chico.San Jose Church in Anton Chico would also have records.
