I know very little about this Main Family. I was in contact with an elderly lady. The first e-mail she asked me if the family still went back to Pine Ridge to visit and so I looked up Pine Ridge and it told of an Indian Reservation, I told this lady that this was the first time that I've heard of this. My great-grandmother kept this a secret from the family and only spoke of her heritage one time that I know of. I was told no time lines about anything, I was told that my great-great-grandfather was about 10 years old at the time of the battle of the Little Big Horn and I was told that my great-great-grandmother's parents was both killed in the battle of the Little Big Horn. I was told that Mary was then raised by the Chief of this tribe. I was told that Lone Eagle [aka] Wamble-Ish-na-la was a white man the was raised by the Indians and that me was a friend of Henry standing bear and that when the family went back to Pine Ridge that Henry Standing Bear was who they visited with. So maybe with these names and the battle of the Little Big Horn this could be a time line to go by. Help Please
Thank You
Kathy
