Donna, now don't be laughing at me. lol..... Sometimes I have blond moments. Oh, boy, I'm going to be in trouble for that.
Please, everyone, don't take the information as PROOF. It is just what I have found, getting PROOF on native americans back that far is almost impossible.
My ancestress is listed as SARAH/SALLY HAGER. I know for sure that I am Cherokee from that line and quite possibly from my DAVIS/DELAY line. I am doing the best that I can with what is out there. There are some good books for sale, Cherokee by Blood is one. Do your own research and find as much paper proof as you can.
There is a record of a Hager man marrying a native woman, two or three hours later, same people marry again but the woman now has a white name. Was illegal at the time for mixed marriages.
