Henry Ahrens, London 1844+
Posted by: Christine Lawes (ID *****3801) Date: June 29, 2009 at 08:35:16

Henry Ahrens married my ancestor Eleanor Soderberg in London in 1857. Henry was born St George in the East (London), around 1817. It would appear they had been together since 1844 when they had a daughter, Eleanor [junior], and what looks like Eleanor's twin. They are in the UK 1871 census together with Eleanor jr's husband Henry Holdstock and their 2 children, yet another Henry & Eleanor.
So far I have been unable to find them in 1851, 1861 or 1881.
I have found Henry & Eleanor senior and their son John aged 2 in 1841, and the widowed Eleanor [senior] in 1891, and her death in 1898.
I have tried so many spelling variations of the name without success - where are they in the missing census years?
Is anyone else related to this family?
Thanks for any help,
Christine
