Today is September 5. On this date in 1926 a movie theatre fire in
Drumcollogher, Co. Limerick, killed 48 people, including Robert Ahearne,
who after getting his wife, Nora, out, went back into the burning
building trying to rescue his mother-in-law, Mary Anne O'Callaghan. See
