My wife's grandfather James AHERN was born in 1870, month unknown, in Cork. His parents are unknown. He moved to Wales for a number of years and then to Montreal. He married Rhoda Palmer (John PALMER and Harriet CREED of Somerset, England) in 1907 in Montreal and raised a family.
His sister Kate presumably stayed in Ireland and may have been a Nun.
He had three brothers: Pat, Mike and Tom.
Pat settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He married (Lizzie) and had a number
of children, one was named Helen who married a TROWELL.
Mike and Tom settled in the Boston area. Both married (one wife's name
was also Lizzie) and had a number of children, two were Tom and Mary.
Would be happy to hear from anyone who has these people in their family trees.
