My ancestor, MICHAEL AHEARN, was born in 1830 in Kilbolane, Co. Cork. He was the son of William Ahearn and Mary Welch. He emigrated to the Poughkeepsie area, married Mary WILSON there in 1856, then went west and settled in Waupaca Co., Wisconsin. They had 7 or 8 children, including William, Cornelius, John, Catherine, etc.
