Today is July 1st. On this day in 1894, U. S. Navy watertender Thomas
Ahearn died at the Naval Hospital in Brooklyn. He's buried there in the
Cypress Hills National Veterans Cemetery.

The obituary page has now passed the 3,650 mark. The earliest new obituary
is for Kate Ahearn of Pearl Street, New York City, who died of typhus,
9 May 1893. The most recent new obituary is for Patrick F. Ahern of
Evergreen Park, Chicago, 28 June 2009.
