Thank you for replying to my post. The triple jump at the 1908 Olympics was won by Tim Ahearne from Ireland. In the book "THE 1908 Olympic Games" by Bill Mallon, It says Tim Ahearne immigrated to America with his brother Dan. Dan dropped the E from the end of his name and went on to become a better jumper than Tim. There is info on both of them at this website.
