Today is February 26th. On this date in 1885, Patrick Ahern of
Castlequarter, Dungourney, County Cork, died at the age of 100.
The Ahern obituary page has now passed the 3,250 mark. The earliest new
obituary is for 71-year-old Cork native, John Ahern, who was crushed to
death by a railway train in Sacramento, California, 17 November 1900. The
most recent is for Donald O'Hearn of Grand Rapids, Michigan, 15 Feb. 2007.
