Today is December 31st. On this date in 1925, it was reported that Jack
Ahern of Winton in Queensland, Australia, was in hospital with a broken
leg after being run over by a car while riding his bicycle on Christmas

The Ahern obituaries page has now passed the 3,200 mark. Many of the
recent addtions are for Chicago between 1900 and 1950. The earliest new
obituary is for Mary A. Ahern of Baltimore, Maryland, daughter of
Bartholomew and Ellen, 18 June 1907. The most recent new obituary is for
Francis X. Ahearn of Brighton, Massachusetts, former President of the
Boston City Council, 19 December 2006.
