Looking for g.g.grandparents... My g. grandmother was Flora Margaret (MARTEYN) USHER (b. 9/23/1879, WI; d. 3/6/1916, Riverside, Okanogan, WA), who m. William Harry USHER in Walker, MN, abt. 1900. Hubby verified info on death cert. and could have just been bereaved and got info wrong.

Her death cert. lists her parents as Irma AHERN and A. MARTEYN. I was always told that Irma/Margaret came from Ireland, but Death cert. says "Irma" was born in Canada.

Margaret/Irma's hubby, A. MARTEYN, was a farmer who emigrated to Quebec, I think, from France, according to death cert. He appears to be the last in the MARTEYN line, b/c things come to a crashing halt there.

Margaret/Irma AHERN and A. MARTEYN had Flora, and possibly her twin, named Mary and/or Kit (short for Margaret again?). I have a picture of them, all farming in Wisconsin.

Any info would be appreciated.
